Raul Guzman endured a difficult weekend in the third out of five Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe rounds. The young DR Management Mexican racing driver, who shares driving duties with Miloš Pavlović in a Target Racing car, arrived at the the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with the Pro lead and four consecutive podium finishes, included the victory in the series opener at Misano.
But things were not easy in Spain for the 20-year-old member of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse Young Driver Program. After setting the fourth time in the Saturday morning’s qualifying, Guzman missed race two due to a technical issue in the warm-up lap.
Moreover a series of circumtances prevented him and his team-mate from taking a good result the day before in race one, as they claimed the eight position and the seventh in their class.
Guzman and Pavlović now are fourth in the drivers’ standings, even eight points behind the new leader Dean Stoneman, with 64 points still to be assigned in the four remaining races.
Next round is scheduled in less than two weeks in Belgiun, at the Spa-Francorchamps track, on 24th/25th October, before the grand finale in France, at the Le Castellet track, next November.
