Ian Rodriguez made his Formula Regional European Championship debut for DR Formula claiming the second best time in the test-day at Imola. After finishing fourth in the morning session, the Guatemala’s racing driver improved three tenths of seconds to set the second quick lap behind the series’ runner-up Arthur Leclerc in the afternoon.
Rodriguez set the time of 1:39.394, 21 milliseconds slower than the brother of F1 Ferrari driver, looking forward his first official appearance in a race weekend at the same venue, on 21th/22th November.
At Imola, Rodriguez – who turned 20 last July – will race one of the two single-seaters fielded by the Danilo Rossi‘s squad, whilst regular driver Emidio Pesce will pilot the other car. The Milan-based young racer completed the Thursday’s testing showing good pace, steadily improving to set his best time in 1:40.135.
