DR Formula team is set for the fourth of seven Italian F4 rounds held in Misano this coming weekend, fielding a Tatuus single seater car for Edoardo Morricone.
The 16-year-old Italian racer looks to add to his tally another positive result, after he secured his maiden Rookie podium finish two weeks ago in Monza. Making his return to the Championship having missed the previous round at the Paul Ricard circuit, the DR Formula’s driver impressed showing a consistent and fast pace since the first race, when he took the 12th overall place over 28 cars and fifth in his class.
Morricone improved more in race two, finishing seventh overall and second of the Rookie class as well as claiming his best ever result of the season. Eventually an unfortunate contact with another car forced him to a stop in race three after he completed only two laps.
The Italian driver is now determined to prove his pace again and collect more points for the standings.
Free practice sessions in Misano get underway on Friday. Saturday’s qualifying one and two are scheduled since 10,10 am, followed by the first of 28-minute plus one lap races that starts at 5,10 pm. Race two and three are scheduled on Sunday at 9 am and 5,10 pm. All races will be live streamed at acisport.it/campionati/F4/Misano.
