DR Formula team makes its return to the Vallelunga track as the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth round three gets underway on 24th/25th June after more than one-month break.
Having completed a very fruitful two-day test a few days ago at the same Roman track, Aldo Festante, Artem Petrov and Felipe Branquinho are now set to a new and exciting challenge.
This Saturday and Sunday, the Italian series comes to a crucial point of the season, with 17-year-old Petrov aiming to show well, after he claimed two podium finishes in the opening event at Misano. The Russian driver, who also had a not easy weekend at Adria, is sixth in the overall standings 50 points from the lead.
On home ground, Festante is looking for his first podium, after he finished fourth in race two in the previous event at Adria. The Italian driver, who turned 17 last May, emerged as one of the fastest on track during the last week testing.
After having impressed at Adria by finishing third among the Rookie drivers in race three, Brazilian Branquinho takes the fourth position in the class standings.
The Tatuus F4 cars will be on track from Friday for the two practice sessions before qualifying on Saturday morning followed by three races over the course of the weekend. The first of 28-minute plus one lap races gets underway at 1:55pm on Saturday. Race two and three are both scheduled on Sunday at 9:00am and 4:00am.
