Following a very intense test program, DR Formula is finally set to hit the track this weekend for the first out of eight Formula Regional European Championship rounds.
For the second consecutive season, the team led by Danilo Rossi is ready to face the commitment in the series fielding a Tatuus car for Emidio Pesce. The Italian racer, who turned 18 last March and has a complete Formula 4 season under his belt, will make his championship debut.
“I’m very thrilled to race the first round of a long-awaited season. It is a new challenge for me, in a high-level championship”, Pesce commented.
In the testing sessions he made after the lockdown, Pesce constantly improved to emerge as one of the top drivers in the last week outing at Monza.
The weekend will start tomorrow with free practice 1 followed by a second session on Friday, with qualifying 1-2 scheduled from 18,40 on the same day. Race 1 and 2 will commence on Saturday at 13,40 and 19,55. The last 30-minute plus one lap race will begins on Sunday at 10,50. All races will be live streamed on Motorsport.tv.
