17-year-old Italian racer Aldo Festante, set the fastest lap at the end of the first day of the Italian F4 collective testing at Vallelunga. After a one-month break, the DR Formula driver hit the track completing a total of 86 laps without issue.
Festante, who claimed a best fourth place in the most recent round of Adria, with the time of 1m35.028 seconds secured the top spot, that bodes well looking forward the next races scheduled at the same Roman track in less then two weeks, on 24th/25th June.
Artem Petrov was fifth in the afternoon session, 320 milliseconds slower than his team mate Festante. The Russian driver, who claimed two podium finishes in the opening round at Misano early last April, takes the sixth place in the overall standings. Petrov completed 74 laps setting the time of 1m35.300 seconds in the morning session.
16-year-old Brazilian Felipe Branquinho impressed by posting a best time of 1m35.946 seconds that put him among the fastest rookies.
The second day of testing gets underway tomorrow.
