DR Formula by RP Motorsport is all set for the next round of the Formula Regional European Championship. After a one-month break, the single-seater series heads this weekend (6/7 July) to the Hungaroring for the third out of eight rounds of the season.
At the Budapest’s circuit, the team led by Danilo Rossi and Fabio Pampado fields two cars for young stars Brazilian Igor Omura Fraga and Mexican Raul Guzman, who already both showed well in the previous races.
After finishing twice third at the Paul Ricard opener, Fraga endured a difficult but improving weekend at Vallelunga. The 20-year-old talented driver topped the Hungaroring official testing on mid-June by setting the second quickest lap at the end of the day, as his team-mate emerged at the same track in the private test with a P4. Guzman, who claimed a best fourth position at the France venue, looks for his first podium of the season.
The Hungaroring round will be followed in only one week by the Austrian leg of the Red Bull Ring. Action will start on Friday with the two free practices. Qualifying 1 and 2 will be held on Saturday from 9.50 to 10.30. The first of three 30-minute plus one lap races will start on same day at 13.50. Race 2 and 3 are scheduled on Sunday at 11.30 and 16.40.
