Team DR Formula is set for the third of eight European Formula Regional events scheduled this weekend – 12th/13th September – at the Austrian track of Spielberg, aiming to overcome the difficult Paul Ricard round hosted three weeks ago.
At the ups and downs of the Styria circuit, the squad led by Danilo Rossi will field again one car for Emidio Pesce, who is at his first season in the championship.
The Milan-based racing driver ended prematurely the French round, after an incident he was involved prevented him to take the start in Race 3.
“The Paul Ricard weekend was very difficult“, Pesce commented. “Both me and the team head to Austria for showing well. I like this track. I made a good testing there on mid August, when I completed several laps in wet and dry condition“.
Pesce, who claimed a best seventh position in the Misano opener, already raced at Spielberg last year in the Formula 4 championship.
The two Friday’s free practices will kick-off the Red Bull Ring weekend. Qualifying will commence on Saturday at 9.20. The first of three 30-minute plus one lap races will start at 13.30. Race 2 is scheduled on Sunday at 11.30, whilst Race 3 will begin at 16.55. All races will be live streamed at www.acisport.it/it/FormulaRegional and official Facebook page.
