DR FORMULA’S PEDRO PERINO TAKES FIRST POINTS IN THE ROOKIE STANDINGS AT THE PAUL RICARD Le Castellet, 16 May 2021 DR Formula ended this weekend the first out of seven Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth rounds at the Paul Ricard track. Young Portuguese Pedro Perino, after making his debut at the end of the last year, in 2021 faces his first full campain in the series with the team headed by Danilo Rossi. In France Perino continued his apprenticeship with the Tatuus F4 single seater taking his first points for the Rookie standings thanks to a tenth and ninth position he has claimed today in the last two races. After struggling in Saturday’s qualifying, the DR Formula driver spun in Race 1 – that started behind the safety car due to a light rain – and had to stop. Eventually he did better on Sunday. In Race 2 he took a top-10 finish of category, and the P23 over 37 cars. In Race 3 he secured the ninth position among rookies and more points. Next Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth round is scheduled on 5/6 June at Misano. Meanwhile the action for DR Formula will continue this weekend at the Monaco street circuit for the third round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.
