DR FORMULA AND EMIDIO PESCE SET FOR BARCELONA ROUND

Formula Regional European Championship enters the crucial stage of the year heading this weekend to Barcelona for the sixth out of eight rounds. In Spain team DR Formula is set to field a car for young Italian Emidio Pesce, who is at his maiden season in the series.

After almost a year, the Milan-based racing driver returns to Circuit of Montmeló, following a first appearance in the Spanish F4 in 2019.

“After 12 months I return to Barcelona. I have to learn the track again, as I will drive a car completely different from the one I raced last season“, Pesce commented. “At Monza, two weeks ago, a had a good weekend. I’ll try to continue with same pace“.

On home track, the DR Formula racer finished twice seventh, improving steadily.

Action at Barcelona starts today with the usual two free practice sessions. Qualifying one and two will be held this afternoon. Race 1 will commence tomorrow at 11:10, whilst the second of three 30-minute plus one lap races will get underway at 17:05. Green light for Race 3 is set for Sunday at 10:30.
