EMIDIO PESCE MAKES GREAT RECOVERY AT SPIELBERG IN RACE 1

Emidio Pesce started the Red Bull Ring weekend claimingthe eight position in the first race of the third out of eight Formula Regional European Championship rounds. The DR Formula’s young driver, who set the tenth and ninth quickest lap in the qualifying sessions this morning, made great recovery to move up from P10.

The 18-year-old Milan-based racer ended with a minimum margin from Nico Göhler and Alessandro Famularo, who battled for the sixth position, and was the best of the Italians on track. 

After the unlucky round at the Paul Ricard, Pesce returned to score points for the Overall and Rookie standings.

“I am quite satisfied, although after the safety car period I was hit by the Andrea Cola’s car and lost the contact from the rest of the field“, Pesce commented. “I had a good pace and tomorrow I will try to make better“.

Race 2 – 30 minutes plus one lap in total – will commence on Sunday at 11.30 with Pesce starting from the fifth row of the grid. The third and last race is scheduled at 16.55, live streamed at http://www.acisport.it/it/FormulaRegional and at the official Facebook page.
