Necomer Raul Guzman was once more among the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe front-runners. The DR Management’s young Mexican, who recently joined the Squadra Corse’s Young Driver Program, ended the second round of the series held at the Nürburgring with a second and third position.
Sharing driving duties with Miloš Pavlović in the Target Racing’car, he claimed his fourth consecutive podium to consolidate the Pro standinds lead with nine points more over Dean Stoneman.
The 20-year-old racer set the fifth time and the fourth of his class in the first qualifying session. At the Race 1 start, Guzman passed Sebastian Balthasar to recover fourth just before a safety car intervention. After the pit-stop, Pavlovic moved up to third. Eventually he took over Andrzej Lewandowski to finish second.
In Race 2 the Serbian racing driver started from the third row of the grid and passed Marcus Paverud. Pavlović handed over the car to Guzman in fourth position. DR Management’s racer completed a perfect second stint as he passed Gerard Van der Horst in the battle for third and managing to defending his position from the Kevin Gilardoni attack.
The next Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe round is scheduled for 10/11 October at Barcelona, in Spain.
