DR Formula is set to make a very emotional return. After a two-and-a-half-month break, the team led by Danilo Rossi heads to Vallelunga for two test days – tomorrow and Wednesday – after having renewed for the second consecutive year its Formula Regional European Championship commitment.

To drive the DR Formula car will be Emidio Pesce, the first of the confirmed drivers for this coming season that will kick-off on 10/12 July at the Hungaroring track, first out of seven rounds of the revised 2020 calendar.

The Milan-based racer, who turned 18 on March 16th and has already an Italian F4 season under his belt, completed a shakedown at the Cremona Circuit last December. Pesce made his first appearance this year at the Paul Ricard track early last March before the total lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.

We made a good job in France”, Pesce commented, “The first day, with the dry track, everything went well. Shame that the second day it rained”.

We have a very tight test program, looking forward a highly compressed season – Team Principal Marco Ubaldi added – We are ready to start again, although the health remains a priority for us. We will adopt stringent measure, with seven people on track for car – technicians, mechanics and driver included”.
