DR Formula by RP Motorsport is determined to conclude its maiden season in the Formula Regional European Championship on a major high in the last three rounds at the Circuit de Catalunya this weekend, Mugello and Monza.
After delivering a great performance with both drivers Igor Omura Fraga and Raul Guzman, the team led by Danilo Rossi and Fabio Pampado is all set for the sixth out of eight rounds of the season, as the single-seater premier series heads to Spain.
After claiming his second victory at Imola early this month and dominating the previous race at Red Bull Ring taking four consecutive podium finishes, Fraga will be looking to continue his winning form. The 20-year-old Japanese/Brazilian driver holds the third place in the standings behind Prema’s Frederik Vesti and Enzo Fittipaldi. Fraga finished four times third and twice second so far.
In Spain, DR Formula by RP Motorsport team fields also another car for Guzman. Mexican racer showed a great pace throughout this year, but is still looking for his first podium.
Both Fraga and Guzman completed a very positive test-day at Mugello last week, alongside the other Mexican youngster Santiago Ramos Reynoso, who recently made his Italian F4 debut at Imola.
Action at Barcelona starts tomorrow with the free practices. Qualifying one and two get underway on Saturday from 9 to 9.40 am, followed by the first of three 30-minute plus one lap races at 13.05 pm, whilst race two starts at 19.25 pm. Race three will start on Sunday at 11.30 am.
