DR Formulaby RP Motorsport confirms Raul Guzman in its drivers’ line-up for the Formula Regional European campaign. The 19-year-old Mexican racer makes his return to the team led by Danilo Rossi after a thrilling 2016 in the Italian F4 powered by Abarth.

Third in the national championship with the DR Formula team, after claiming three victories and seven podium finishes that season, the Guadalajara-born driver switches to the brand-new certified by FIA series.

Guzman’s single seater career started in 2015 in the Italian F4 with Malta Formula Racing, to continue the following year in the same series with DR Formula. In the last two seasons the Mexican competed in the European Formula Renault 2.0.

“I discovered Raul in America, when he still was a young karting talent”, Danilo Rossi commented, “Guzman’s partnership with DR Formula by RP Motorsport renews a successful relationship that goes back throughout his F4 career. He shined in 2016 before moving to the Formula Renault 2.0 Championship. I am sure we can have a strong season together.”

Formula Regional European Championship kicks off on 12/14 April at the Le Castellet circuit, first of the the eight 2019 rounds.
