PETROV CLAIMS P2 IN QUALIFYING AT MONZA ITALIAN F4 FINALE AS BRANQUINHO IMPRESSES IN THE ROOKIE CLASS
Artem Petrov set the second fastest time in the last qualifying session of the 2017 Italian F4 Championship by Abarth season in Monza. The DR Formula racing driver lapped in 1:53.794, finishing just 42 milliseconds behind the polesitter Lorenzo Colombo.

The 17-year-old Russian will start the first two races from second and first row, as he was fourth in Q1. Petrov, who claimed a second place two weeks ago in the most recent round at Mugello, aims to his first win on a very familiar track, where he already took last year a P4.

His team mate Felipe Branquinho impressed too. The Brazilian youngster finished 11th in the first session as well as third in the Rookie class. Eventually in Q2 he set the 12th time that let him to start from the middle of the grid in the second race.

The Monza round is the seventh and final of the 2017 calendar. Race one (28 minutes plus one lap) gets underway tomorrow afternoon at 14:45. Race two and three start Sunday at 9:20 and 16:10, each one with live streaming on http://www.acisport.it.
