Team DR Formula is set to make its debut in the ADAC F4, as the German championship heads this coming weekend to the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit for the fifth out of seven rounds of the 2017 calendar.

The squad led by Danilo Rossi will field a car for Artem Petrov, one of the front-runners of the Italian series.

The 17-year-old Russian racing driver completed last week (26th/27th July) a two-day test at the Hockenheim track, when he was joined by regular team mate Aldo Festante and the young newcomer Ivan Grigoryev. The latter, who turned 15 last month, looks forward a full commitment in the single seater next season.

Petrov emerged as seventh fastest among 23 drivers in the morning session on day two, lapping in 1:41.990, five tenth from the lead. The Russian boy showed a good pace, as he already made the previous week in another test at the Nürburgring.

In the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth, Petrov claimed so far six podium finishes, sitting on the fifth place in the overall standings. The Russian driver is now determined to continue his positive series of results in the ADAC series.

Action at the Nürburgring gets underway with the two practice sessions on Friday. Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday at 8.30 before race one at 14:45. Race two begins at 11:10 on Sunday morning before the third and final race of the weekend gets underway at 16:35.

All races will be live streamed at https://www.adac-motorsport.de/livestream-adac-formel-4.html.
