Artem Petrov has proven his strong speed again. The 17-year old Russian racer claimed yesterday another podium finish in the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth, as he took the third place in race two at Mugello for DR Formula team.

Petrov had been on the pace throughout the weekend, although he crashed in Q1 starting the Saturday’s race from the back of the grId and recovering 12th. The Russian racing driver scored more points in race three, as he finished seventh winning the battle with Kiwi Marcus Armstrong.

At the Tuscany track, team mate Felipe Branquinho was also making progress. The young Brazilian emerged as second in the Rookie class in race two, when he also finished close to the overall top 10. In race three Branquinho had to retire.

After finishing eight in Saturday’s race one, Italian Aldo Festante claimed the ninth place in race two.

The next round of the F4 Italy will be held on 9th-10th September at Imola. Meanwhile, DR Formula team takes part this week – Wednesday 19th – in the ADAC F4 series’ collective test at Nürburgring with Petrov and Festante, looking forward to its debut in the German championship.
