COMPETITIVE SHOWING IN ROUND ONE AT ADRIA PROVIDES BOOST FOR DR FORMULA TEAM
No finish result in the top ten positions for DR Formula team, in the first race of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth round at Adria, although its drivers showed well providing boost for Sunday’s race two and three.
In a heavy rain-affected race, Aldo Festante took the fifth position from the third row, following a safety car start. The 16-year-old Italian racing driver fought for the fourth place and his pace was mega. With a few minutes to go, unfortunately his engine stalled and he had to stop.
His team mate Artem Petrov set the tenth quickest time in Q1. The Russian racer maintained his position, but the damaged wing as consequence of a previous contact occurred in the second part of the race, forced him to retire.
Youngster Felipe Branquinho made a regular race. Brazilian driver finished 13th and rounded out the top four of the Rookie charts.
Race two and three are scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday May 7th, at 9:40 and 15:30, both over a distance of 28 minutes + one lap.
