EDOARDO MORRICONE ON GROWING UP IN F4 UAE
Edoardo Morricone made a promising F4 UAE debut at the Yas Marina circuit with DR Formula team, looking forward his 2018 commitment in the Italian series open to the Tatuus-Abarth single seater cars.
After having impressed in the last December testing at the Vallelunga track, the 15-year-old Italian racing driver completed a steadely improving weekend at Abu Dhabi, starting from tenth in the Friday’s Race 1 and finishing eight.
Moving from the fourth row in Race 2, Morricone finished eight again showing a good pace that let him to achieve the seventh place in the last two Saturday’s races.
“As it was his first experience in the series, we must consider it very positive – commented Marco Ubaldi, responsible for DR Formula team – Edoardo has been shown to have a good pace and feeling with the car right up to the checkered flag without making mistakes. For sure we still have a margin to do better”.
The next commitment for DR Formula team is scheduled for 26/27 January on the same track in the complete layout, when young Hungarian former karting driver Laszlo Toth – one of the front runners in the WSK Series and European Championship in the KZ2 class with the Danilo Rossi’s squad – will also make his debut.
