The sixth and penultimate round of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth sees another new face at DR Formula, as the series visits this coming weekend the famous Mugello circuit.
At the Tuscany venue, the team led by Danilo Rossi fields three cars for regular drivers Artem Petrov, Aldo Festante and Felipe Branquinho. The first, currently taking the sixth place in the standings, had a poor weekend in the latest round at Imola one month ago, and aims to bounce back after he scored P3 last July on the same track. The 17-year-old Russian racer claimed six podium finishes so far.
Italian Aldo Festante – who is also 17 – showed well at the Adria and Vallelunga rounds, where he took two fourth and one third positions, but scored no points at Imola.
Embarking on only his first season in the Italian singe seater series, Felipe Branquinho is fourth in Rookie Championship. Brazilian racing driver continues his way making big progress. Last summer at Mugello, he claimed the second place in his class. He also had an almost perfect weekend at Imola, finishing third and twice fourth among the Rookies.
This weekend’s action gets underway tomorrow with the two 40-minute free practice sessions and the qualifying. The first of the three 28-minute plus one lap races begins at 13:25 on Saturday. Race two and three begin at 9:00 and 15:55 on Sunday. All races are live streamed at www.acisport.it.
