The second of seven Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth rounds held at the Adria International Circuit, was a mixed weekend for DR Formula drivers.
Making a positive start to his maiden season in the series, Felipe Branquinho delivered an absolutely sensational performance during race three to finish second among Rookies and ninth overall, having gained three positions after starting from the middle of the grid. Branquinho ended race one and two in 13th place battling for top ten spots.
Aldo Festante showed well too as he sealed the fourth position in Sunday morning second race. 16-year-old Italian was alongside the front runners. In race three he suffered from a contact with India’s Kush Maini and rear wing damage that resulted in 12th place.
It was a bit of a mixed event for Artem Petrov. The 17-year-old Russian racing driver, who had a strong start in Misano where he claimed two podium finishes, secured the sixth place in race two. Starting from the fifth row in race three, Petrov had a contact on lap one with Venezuela’s Sebastian Fernandez who received a penalty. The Russian pitted for changing the nose of his car but he infranged the maximum speed limit. It costed a drive through penalty that dropped him to 19th place.
